Social Media Today has published a review examining how to see what people like on Instagram over time, comparing native activity visibility with two paid reporting services. Based on published plans, frequently asked questions and sample reports, the review assesses pricing, account capacity, reporting features and limitations using information current as of October 2026.

The review addresses the distinction between activity displayed within a social platform and activity assembled into recurring reports. It explains that built-in visibility is limited to certain interactions involving mutual followers, while the paid services reviewed organize publicly accessible activity by account. Neither service provides access to private accounts or a complete record of every interaction.

The historical context begins in October 2019, when the platform removed the Following tab, which had displayed posts that friends liked and accounts they followed. That change eliminated the earlier feed of other users’ activity. The review contrasts that former feature with the narrower visibility provided by the subsequent Friends tab within Reels.

The platform launched the Friends tab globally on August 6, 2025. According to the review, the feature displays public reels that mutual followers have liked, commented on or reposted. A mutual follower is defined as an account that follows another account and is followed back. Photo posts are outside the feature’s scope, and the tab does not provide a dedicated interaction history for an individual account.

The review also notes that controls introduced with the Friends tab allow people to hide their likes and comments from that view. These controls, together with the restriction to reels and mutual followers, distinguish the native feature from reports organized around a specified public username. The publication treats these differences as limitations of scope rather than evidence of comprehensive activity visibility.

For the paid-service comparison, Social Media Today examined two tools that accept a public username without requiring the tracked account’s password. Both provide weekly reports and state that tracked accounts are not notified. The review attributes those notification statements to the services themselves. It also emphasizes that public-account access does not establish complete coverage of an account’s likes or other actions.

Snoopreport is examined for its focus on liked posts, frequently liked accounts, follows, unfollows, hashtags and interests. Its reports list observed liked posts, rank accounts receiving likes and group activity into interest categories. Public sample reports cover approximately 1,000 celebrity and creator accounts, with some records extending back to 2017. The service offers weekly and monthly reporting and supports CSV exports.

The pricing comparison uses vendor pricing pages checked on October 5, 2026. Snoopreport’s entry plan costs $4.99 per month and covers two accounts. Larger monthly plans cover 10 accounts for $14.99 and 100 accounts for $44.99. The review identifies monthly billing, the absence of an annual option and no refund for unused time among the service’s subscription terms. Story tracking is not included.

The other service reviewed has an entry price of $4.49 per month for one account and an annual option priced at $32.99. Its subscriptions cover one account each. Its reported features span likes, follows, followers, comments, stories and highlights, with weekly reporting and daily story reporting. CSV exports are supported, while its automated analysis features are restricted to quarterly and annual plans.

The comparison separates account capacity from feature breadth. The two-account monthly entry plan has a lower combined price than two individual subscriptions to the other service. Conversely, the other service’s annual subscription has a lower stated annual price for a single account. These distinctions are presented alongside differences in reporting categories and billing arrangements, rather than as a universal recommendation.

Coverage remains a central qualification throughout the review. Both services operate on public accounts only, and neither captures every like. One publishes a partial-coverage range, while the other does not publish a coverage percentage. The review therefore distinguishes recurring reports of observed activity from an exhaustive historical log, keeping the comparison focused on documented capabilities and disclosed limits.
